Working with copper peptides
- Dissolve first: dissolve in purified water before adding to the formula’s water phase.
- Compatibility: keep it away from strong acids, high-strength ascorbic acid and chelators.
- Colour: the blue tint of copper peptides can carry through to finished products at higher concentrations.
Copper peptide vs Pal-GHK
GHK-Cu contains copper and is water-soluble. Pal-GHK (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1) has a fatty-acid tail and no copper, which makes it more compatible with oils and emulsions.
Storage
Keep refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C.
